Hi.

Welcome to my blog where we talk about all things interiors, colourful, dramatic and more importantly home designed interiors that you can re-create on a budget

Occasional Home Store Second Event

Occasional Home Store Second Event

I went to this event in September of last year, with my insta chums @thisstyle-rocks and @comedowntothewoods, but sadly this event I will miss, due to family commitments.

It's a great day out, lots of lovely shopping, workshops, but best of all for me, was the chance to meet so many insta people who I'd had a "chat" with online and never met in person. We all went out for drinks and then dinner afterwards.

There really are some lovely shops here so if you are going of the whole day or just popping in, you will be sure to find something for your home; I certainly did.

Read on to get a sneak peak of what's coming and hear more about the day.

Last year’s Occasional Home Store Autumn Fair was everything we hoped it would be – so we’re returning this Spring even bigger and better! Once again in association with interiors brand Plum & Ashby, Occasional Home Store (OHS) will celebrate the start of Spring by filling our beautiful new waterside venue with the finest vintage traders, pop-up interior stores, independant designer/
makers, fresh flowers and a feast of local food and drink.

The founders of OHS, interiors blogger Rebecca Lawson, vintage trader Sally Newman and Beth Smith, former editor of Selvedge magazine joined forces to create an interiors event that they would love themselves, “full of vintage treasure, gorgeous new products, cake and perhaps a glass of fizz”. This carefully curated combination, plus inspiring workshops and lectures, will make the fair a fabulous day out and the perfect Mother’s Day treat. And as @malmo_and_moss OHS co-founder Rebecca Lawson has a following of 44,000 – it’s also a must for instagram’s interior addicts.

On the day of the fair @malmo_and_moss will be “in conversation” with fellow interior experts Lisa Dawson and Dee Campling who rack up an impressive 160K instagram followers between them. Tickets are on sale for the talk which will reveal the secrets of their success and practical advice about how to make instagram work for you. The more practically minded can sign up for a floral hoop making class and those in need of guidance on how to “Style, Shoot, Edit & Curate” can join Caroline Rowland, editor of the inspiring 91 Magazine, and photographer Jemma Watts for their workshop.
